Because leather hides come in all shapes and sizes with varying degrees of scars and other range marks, the marking and cutting process is one of the most important. A trained eye and skilled hand mark each pattern on the hides, working around range marks that might be objectionable or problematic. Providing the highest quality leather cover for our furniture is the first step in the process of building leather upholstery.

Sewing leather upholstery requires a high level of skill and an eye for detail. Hours of training and apprenticeship must take place to truly learn this craft. There are many different types of stitching and pieces to be sewn, requiring a degree of patience and an appreciation for the finest in quality. All of our sewing team are masters of their craft and have a sense of pride in their work.

The frames are made from precision-cut, kiln dried hardwoods to resist warping. Our frames are hand-constructed in modular sections making them 3 times stronger than one piece frames. Plus, the outsides of every piece are solid to protect your investment from damage and to keep it looking good forever.

The comfort of a product from The Luxury Of Leather begins with the suspension system. We use only the best polypropylene webbing suspension, which is like a seat belt that stretches. Not only does it provide superior support, it lasts 8 times longer than old fashioned metal springs, plus it gives better comfort.

To provide true custom comfort, you can select from feather soft, medium or extra support cushions. All our seat cushions are made from 2.5 pound high resiliency urethane foam wrapped in polyester fiber and are removable for easy adjustment and a lifetime of exceptional support. Our back and arm cushions are filled with higher quality R7 polyester fiber in a channeled bag. Like a down comforter, the channels keep the fiber in place so the cushion will retain it’s shape.

The master craftsmen at The Luxury Of Leather upholster the arms, decks and backs of each product in individual components and then bolt the pieces together (metal bolts are 1300% stronger than wooden dowels). Great care is taken to ensure the smallest detail is skillfully executed for lasting beauty and durability.

Nailhead trim is individually hand-nailed, not rolled on and tacked every few inches, so you can count on it to stay in place for years to come.
